That's basically how I've had people describe it to me to tried many times to get friends to leave dickhead boyfriends but they would sink in to a "nobody else would want me anyway" attitude or feel trapped because they love the guy. And due to loving the person they're made to feel like no matter how s***ty they are it's meant to be, since they're obviously the only person that will love them back. Even though in reality of course that's not the case. I even had one girl tell me she knows her boyfriend cheats on her and caught him in the act and when I was like "WHY ARE YOU EVEN WITH HIM THEN" Her response was "he's the best thing that's ever happened to me" He would also demand she comes to him whenever he wants. That she goes to his house to make him breakfast, even though she lived in a different town and worked early in the morning, she felt forced to lose sleep to do that. He slapped her a couple of times too. Another thing was that her family loved him, at her house he was the nice boyfriend so that added to the reasons he can't be left list. And was just generally a d*** to her. As much as I didn't like her previous boyfriends they were definitely saints compared to him but he manipulated her in to feeling otherwise. Not really possible to leave someone when you're powerless against their grasp. |

Delete post. The auto-censoring system answered my question.
